Wedding Cake Cookies

PRICE GUIDE 2012

Cakes are all uniquely crafted as per your individual preference therefore these prices are approximate only:

Wedding Cakes:

1-Tier (40-50 guests), from R 1 050, 00

2-Tier (60-70 guests), from R 1 350, 00

2-Tier (80-90 guests), from R 1 750, 00

3-Tier (100-120 guests), from R 2 250, 00

3-Tier (120-150 guests), from R 2 750, 00

4-Tier (150-200 guests, from R 3 350, 00

Celebration Cakes from R 500, 00

Edible Picture Cakes from R 400, 00

3-D Cakes from R 750, 00

Cupcakes from R 14, 50 each

Truffles from R 3, 50 each

Cakes- All cakes are sized at the time of ordering to instructions given. All the cakes are handmade and therefore slight variations may occur from photographs but every endeavor will be taken to keep to the original design.

Orders- To avoid disappointment when making an order give as much notice as possible. I can take orders with a 3 week notice where possible but have to refuse orders if I am already at full capacity. Minimum notice for wedding cakes is 2 months for sponge cakes and 3 months for fruit cakes.

Cake Stands- At present I do not have cake stands or knives for hire therefore a third party/ supplier needs to be contacted by you.

Payment- A deposit of 50% of the quoted price is payable to hold a date for a wedding with the final balance being paid two weeks prior to the wedding. Failure to do so will incur problems with the completion of your wedding cake.

Delivery- Collection preferable, cakes can be collected the evening before the wedding or if fresh flowers are used, a few hours before the wedding, but delivery can be arranged at an extra cost depending on the location of the wedding.

Flowers- Fresh flowers can be provided by me at an additional cost or supplied by your florist. I will gladly arrange them on the cake before collection or upon delivery. Alternatively, handmade sugar flowers could be made and incorporated into your finished design – a great keepsake for your special day.

Storage- Cakes should be stored in a cool dark place away from sunlight and damp conditions on a flat surface. Sponge cakes will keep for up to 4 days after pickup or delivery and fruitcake will last for months in cool conditions. Chocolate cakes need to be kept especially cool in an air-conditioned room but most definitely not in a refrigerator.

Cancellation- Your deposit is non-refundable at the time of placing an order. If however the wedding is cancelled up to four months before the date I will gladly return your money as I can then take another order. Changes in design or alterations to size will result in a new quotation; no changes can be accepted after final payment.

Loss or damage- Katrien’s Cakes accept no responsibility for loss or damage to the cake once the cake has been accepted when collected and removed from the premise.
